Start the next summer's Kainuu O-Week with some heavy riffs in LankaFest 1 - 2 July 2022
Now is a unique opportunity to kick off the Kainuu Orienteering Week and the holiday week with the heaviest riffs, when next summer the traditional heavy music festival in Puolanka, LankaFest, will be held for the 11th time.
At its best, the event has attracted 1,200 visitors. From the beginning, the style of music has been rock, heavy, and metal genres. Over the years, there has been playin Sonata Arctica, Joe Lynn Turner, Graham Bonnet, Stam1na, Mokoma and Battle Beast. The event will take place at the Puolanka Market Square. Inside the fenced event area, in addition to the two stages, you will find a beverage area, food outlets, sales outlets and shelters. The event is age-restricted. The beverage area (K-18) is separately marked by fences.
Confirmed bands for this year are: Stratovarius, Turmion Kätilöt, Zero Nine, Timo Rautiainen & Trio Niskalaukaus, Altaria, Lazy Bonez and Electric Deathbeat. Additionally, there are two cover bands which are playing during the changes of the main stage, the BoneButton (Iron Maiden cover) and the Angry Machines (Dio cover).
The gates are opening on Friday 1st July at 6.00pm and on Saturday 2nd July at 5.00pm.
