Kainuu Orienteering Week association
Kainuu Orienteering Week association (in Finnish "Kainuun Rastiviikko ry", also known as "KRV ry") is the organization behind the Kainuu Orienteering Week. It was founded on 25.11.2008 by the organizing clubs of Kainuu Orienteering Week. Organizing clubs are the only members of KRV ry.

Orienteering clubs organizing the Kainuu Orienteering Week
Kainuu Orienteering Week (KOW) has five organizing clubs. It means that each club has its turn to organize the event in every fifth year.
Kajaanin Suunnistajat (KaSu)
Kajaanin Suunnistajat is the firs orienteering specialized club in Kainuu, founded in 1947. In 1966 KaSu was organizing the first competition of the first Kainuu Orienteering Week. Since then, the club has been responsible for organizing more than 40 KOW competition days. The club has more than 200 members.
The previous KOW-event organizing shifts of Kajaanin Suunnistajat have been: 2024 Joutenlampi, 2018 Jormua-Leihu, 2012 Joutenlampi, 2008 Ukkohalla (in cooperation with Rasti-Hyry), 2003 Joutenlampi and 1998 Koutaniemi and Lontanniemi.
Kuhmon Peurat (KuPe)
Kuhmo Peurat is a orienteering special club founded in 1974.
The previous KOW-event organizing shifts of Kuhmon Peurat have been: 2023 Jämäsvaara, 2017 Rasti, 2011 Lautavaara, 2006 Risteli/Jämäsvaara and 2002 Saunajärvi.
Puolangan Ryhti (PuolRy)
Gymnastics and sport club Puolangan Ryhti ry is a general club founded in 1921 with 250 members.
The previous KOW-event organizing shifts of Puolangan Ryhti have been: 2022 Luhtakangas, 2016 Luhtakangas, 2010 and 2005 both were organized in the grounds of the Paljakka tourism center.
Sotkamon Jymy (SoJy)
Sotkamon Jymy is a general club founded in 1909, whose sports are biathlon, cross-country skiing, ski jumping, nordic combined, volleyball, orienteering and athletics.
The previous KOW-event organizing shifts of Sotkamon Jymy have been: 2019 Tipasoja, 2007 Tipasoja and 2011 Vuokatinvaara.
Sotkamon Jymy was also the organizing club of the 2013 World Orienteering Championships and the Kainuu Orienteering Week, from that year there is a participant record for the Kainuu Orienteering Week.
Suomussalmen Rasti (SuomRa)
Suomussalmen Rasti is a general club founded in 1952, whose sports biathlon, cross-country skiing, karate, climbing, women's gymnastics, baseball, orienteering and athletics.
The previous KOW-event organizing shifts of Suomussalmen Rasti have been: 2021 Haverinen, 2015 Itäjärvi, 2009 Pyykkölänvaara, 2004 Hulkonniemi and 1999 Varisjärvi.
